A few days ago Sam and I made a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies. We both snuck chocolate chips and I let him taste the batter before I put the cookies in the oven. He was giggling and enjoying himself - but really, isn't that fun for everyone?
A while later I was starting dinner and chopping a large amount of green peppers. Sam wandered in to the kitchen and asked for some. I tried to explain to him that he wouldn't like them, but he persisted. I smugly handed him a piece, expecting him to spit it out.
Sam popped it into his mouth and his eyes brightened. "Yummmmm!" he said and scampered away. Every few minutes after that he'd come back for another bite of green pepper.
The chocolate chips I understand...but green peppers? I don't think that's normal.

I was present at Sam's first Thanksgiving dinner when he was nine months old and where he ate everything offered to him, including turkey, potatoes, dressing, cranberry sauce and PICKLES! He especially liked the pickles.
That reminded me of lunch with Corbin the other day.
He was eating mini corn dogs and stole my dad's salsa to start dipping them. I just waited, cringing but he ate every last bit!
Kids are so WEIRD some days!
Angie, yes! Sam loves salsa. LOVES it. He could eat medium salsa by the spoonful and I have to ration out my mild.
Sounds like you better whip up a batch of chocolate chip and green pepper cookies!
Mmmm, cookie dough sounds REALLY good right now!
Sam reminds me so much of my Jacob! He prefers vegetables to anything else. (Henry on the other hand...)
